Job summary

Southeast Missouri Residential Services is a State of Missouri facility focused on compassionate care for consumers in Sikeston, MO. The role supports one-on-one client care in a dynamic mental health setting with opportunities to learn and grow within the Missouri Department of Mental Health system.

As a Support Care Assistant, you will assist with daily living activities, health monitoring, and treatment plan support under supervision.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
• Must pass a background screening.
• Must be able to obtain Level One Medication Aide certification within one month of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Hands on, direct care to clients including observations and monitoring.
• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing).
• Develop and/or implement habilitation or treatment plans.
• Teach or assist in developing client skills related to self-help, play, education, and socialization.
• Assist with basic health care such as checking vital signs, height, and weight.
• Maintain and report on records of fluids intake/output.
