RTR is seeking a Residential Support Specialist in Scituate, MA to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely and independently. This full-time role involves hands-on daily living support, personal care, transportation, and documentation in a structured residential setting.

You will work closely with the Residential Manager, implement behavior support plans, and participate in team trainings to enhance quality of life for residents.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or non-degreed with a minimum of one year direct experience in human services.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and internet.
• Willingness to authorize a background check (CORI) and release of information.

• Provide direct support and skill-building in daily living activities.
• Assist individuals with personal care needs such as hygiene, meals, dressing, and mobility.
• Support participation in community activities, appointments, and social events.
• Provide transportation as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or non-degreed persons with a minimum of one year direct experience in human services.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
• Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration.
• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
