Job summary

RTR is seeking a compassionate Residential Support Staff to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. This full-time role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, health and dental coverage, and a range of benefits designed to support independence and quality of life.

You’ll help with daily living tasks, attend medical appointments, and document progress, while fostering a safe, supportive home environment and encouraging growth and community participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
• Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration.
• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and routines.
• Provide hands‑on personal care and mobility assistance as needed.
• Assist with and attend medical appointments and community activities.
• Implement individualized support and behavioral plans.
• Administer medications in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
• Provide transportation as required.
• Complete documentation and progress reports.
• Collaborate with team members, families, and care providers.
• Serve as a positive role model and advocate for those you support.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
