Job summary

ALKEME Insurance is seeking a Direct Bill Staff Accountant in Sandy, UT. You will manage direct bill commission processing, reconciliation, and reporting within the Accounting department, ensuring accurate revenue recording and compliance with internal procedures.

The role reports to the Accounting Manager or Controller. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of accounting/financial ops experience, preferably in insurance brokerage, with proficiency in Applied

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of accounting or financial operations experience, preferably within an insurance brokerage.
• Prior experience with direct bill commission processing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash receipts for assigned agencies and ensure timely processing.
• Download, organize, and track commission statements from carrier and broker websites; follow up on missing statements or unmatched transactions.
• Record direct bill transactions at the policy level using reconciliation software and statements; ensure month alignment with cash receipts.
• Maintain accurate documentation; ensure compliance with internal controls and agency accounting standards; communicate with internal staff and agency partners.
