Job summary

Performance Food Group's Performance Foodservice division seeks a seasoned Procurement/Category Manager to develop and execute a standardized category management platform to improve financial performance across key customers and suppliers.

You will drive policy development, performance and compliance management, talent management, supplier relations, IT integration, and align procurement with business objectives, including e-commerce integration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent field experience required
• Experience in foodservice or food manufacturing preferred
• Experience leading teams within supply chain functions such as procurement/category management

Job Description:

• Develops and executes a standardized category management platform via strategic component implementation in order to improve the company's financial performance .
• Implements components include process and policy development, performance management, compliance management, talent management, supplier management, IT integration, and internal relationship building.
• Supports functional activities include establishing accountabilities at different levels within procurement and category management
• Communicates policies and business drivers clearly and compellingly
• Drives improved procurement performance
• integrates procurement and category management objectives with business' objectives
• Assesses staff competencies,
• Developes and retains high performing staff
• Links procurement and category management business plans to supplier partner strategies,
• Developes relationships with key business decision makers internally and externally,
• Integrates e-commerce into the long range procurement/category management strategic plan.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred qualifications:

• Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent field experience required
• Experience in foodservice or food manufacturing companies highly desired
• Experience managing and leading teams within supply chain functions, inventory management, vendor management purchasing, or other food service/ distribution related functions such as merchandising, category management, and/or sales operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint
