Job Description
About the Role

This Director role is part of our broader institutional sales effort and will be responsible for driving new business, maintaining existing business and serving as the primary liaison for institutional clients and prospects. The candidate will manage a sales territory of institutional entities focusing on providing investment solutions across pension, retirement, and not‑for‑profit asset pools. The territory coverage is central U.S. (IA, NE, IL, ND, SD, KY, OH, MI, WI, KS, MO, MN) and mostly consists of mid‑large plans/asset pools between $3–$10billion. The role collaborates with the territory’s Managing Director and other institutional colleagues to bring appropriate products and services to our client audience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead business development and client servicing efforts for institutional clients within the coverage territory, in collaboration with the territory’s Managing Director and institutional colleagues on Consultant Relations, Defined Contribution, and Global Liquidity sales teams as well as other Invesco business units.
  • Proactively build a deep understanding of each asset owner’s organizational structure, decision‑making authority, and investment priorities.
  • Execute on sales plans for accounts in the territory by continuously evaluating client needs, designing an organized and efficient approach to relationship management, and providing value‑added services.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with asset owners in the territory.
  • Coordinate client requests promptly and accurately.
Requirements
  • 5–10 years of institutional sales/analyst experience, with a preference for candidates who already have existing institutional asset‑owner relationships in the Central U.S.
  • Financial services/investment management experience with knowledge of the institutional ecosystem, sponsors, consultants, and competitors.
  • Understanding of investment instruments and their relevance across various plan and client types.
  • Exceptional teammate, open‑minded, flexible, willing to listen to others’ opinions and proactively share your own.
  • Ability to navigate multiple work streams and manage competing priorities.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills.
  • FINRA Series3,7,63, and65 qualifications.
  • CFA designation or demonstrated progress toward the designation.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $125,000–$150,000 per year. Total compensation includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Benefits include: Flexible paid time off; hybrid work schedule; 401(K) matching of 100% up to the first 6% with a discretionary supplemental contribution; health & wellbeing benefits; parental leave benefits; employee stock purchase plan.

Employment Details

Full‑time, exempt employee. The workplace model requires employees to comply with Invesco’s current workplace policy, which as of October1,2025 requires at least four full days each week working in an Invesco office.
