Job Description

The role: Our Institutional Consultant Relations Team seeks a Director to partner with Managing Directors and execute our strategic plan with investment consultants. The position focuses on engaging with research teams of our most significant consultant relationships to help achieve buy ratings, OCIO platform allocations, and new institutional mandates. The team serves as the “Voice of Consultants” to keep consultants and their clients at the center of everything we do.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an example of a high‑performance culture, ensuring a strong pace of execution for consultants.
  • Align consultants’ research priorities with Invesco’s leading capabilities to elevate brand awareness and deepen relationships.
  • Partner with Managing Directors to maintain and build relationships with large investment consultants, leading the full effort on additional firms.
  • Collaborate with MDs to set the research agenda for prioritized strategies and lead research engagement for strategies that are newly rated, upgraded, or maintained.
  • Cultivate trust‑based relationships with consultant research teams at all levels (leadership, analysts, operational due diligence).
  • Collaborate with investment teams to align current ratings, opportunity pipeline, RFPs, assets‑at‑risk, search activity, and industry trends.
  • Maintain key intelligence on each consulting firm’s research priorities by engaging with research staff, reviewing Capital Market Assumptions, manager search reports, and other relevant intel.
  • Credibly represent the voice of consultants at Invesco, sharing consultant insights (meeting notes, conference insights, whitepapers) with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Sales to achieve organic AUM and revenue growth targets with institutional investors.
Qualifications
  • A strong network of relationships with top consultant firms (preferred).
  • Exceptional investment acumen with expertise in manager due diligence, portfolio analytics, portfolio construction, and capital markets.
  • Expert sales discipline and a proven consultative, client‑centric sales process.
  • Strong working knowledge across a full range of investment capabilities and vehicles (separate accounts, collective trusts, mutual funds, ETFs, private placements).
  • 10+ years of experience with institutional consultants and/or clients.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • CFA, CAIA, MBA or similar accreditations (or progress toward) preferred but not required.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.
Compensation & Travel

Salary range: $200,000 to $225,000 per year, plus incentive pay. Compensation varies based on skills, experience, and location.

Workplace Model

Employees are expected to comply with Invesco’s Workplace Policy and work at least four full days each week in an Invesco office.
