Job summary

Kinder Growth Therapy is seeking a part-time DIRFloortime therapist to provide in-home, child-centered play sessions with autistic children. You will build trusting relationships through emotionally attuned play, collect lightweight session data on a phone or tablet, and collaborate with credentialed supervisors.

Ideal candidates have reliable transportation, the ability to engage physically with children on the floor, and are comfortable passing background checks and carrying a valid ID.

Responsibilities

• Provide playful, 1:1 DIRFloortime therapy to autistic children

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, psychology, child development, etc.)

• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish-English)

• Preferred: Experience with the DIRFloortime® model

Experience (1+ year required)

• Childcare (babysitting, daycare, preschool teacher, assistant teacher)

• Special education (educational settings, special needs)

• Developmental intervention (early intervention)

• Autism interventions (RBT/Behavioral technician, autism support specialist, ABA therapist, other DIRFloortime experience

Schedule

• We ask each employee and family to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with sessions typically lasting 2–3 hours per day.

• Most sessions take place after school (between 3–8 PM on weekdays) and anytime on weekends.
