Job summary

Kinder Growth Therapy is seeking a compassionate, part-time DIRFloortime therapist for in-home sessions focused on autistic children. You will engage in play-based, emotionally attuned activities to build trusting relationships and collect session data using a mobile device.

Sessions are typically 2–3 hours, after-school hours (3–8 PM) with some weekend options, and you’ll receive ongoing mentorship, supervision, and opportunities for DIRFloortime training reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to client homes.
• Ability to engage physically with children (e.g., playing on the floor).
• Must pass Federal and State background checks.
• Working phone or tablet to collect session data.

• Provide playful, 1:1 DIRFloortime therapy to autistic children.

Responsibilities

• Provide playful, 1:1 DIRFloortime therapy to autistic children

• Collaborate with and receive ongoing support from credentialed supervisors

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation

• Valid form of ID

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, psychology, child development, etc.)

• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish-English)

• Preferred: Experience with the DIRFloortime® model

Experience (1+ year required)

• Childcare (babysitting, daycare, preschool teacher, assistant teacher)

• Special education (educational settings, special needs)

• Developmental intervention (early intervention)

• Autism interventions (RBT/Behavioral technician, autism support specialist, ABA therapist, other DIRFloortime experience

Schedule

• We ask each employee and family to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with sessions typically lasting 2–3 hours per day.

• Most sessions take place after school (between 3–8 PM on weekdays) and anytime on weekends.
