Job Summary
Perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. Evaluate, write, and present healthcare utilization and cost containment reports, making recommendations based on relevant findings. Execute data science and statistical analytical experiments methodically to solve various problems and make a significant impact across healthcare domains.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Direct health plan strategic analysis and planning, coordinating across business units to meet data analysis needs.
- Mentor, coach, and guide direct reports.
- Identify and set departmental priorities aligned with the operating plan, budget, and regulatory requirements. Perform deep dive analyses across health plans, provide actionable insights, and collaborate with teams to optimize revenue and meet enterprise goals.
- Observe Medicaid/Medicare/Marketplace growth opportunities and new policy rules; develop analytical frameworks to support business cases and present findings to stakeholders.
- Partner with health plans to design Payment Integrity campaigns, evaluate performance, develop insights, and recommend actions.
- Present complex analytical information clearly to diverse audiences. Collaborate with analytics teams on project delivery.
- Identify data solutions and technology opportunities, referring to appropriate teams for implementation.
- Apply statistical and computational methodologies to provide actionable insights, optimizing quality, consumer experience, and costs.
- Develop scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and deployment.
- Devise algorithms and models to mine big data, perform error analysis, and ensure data quality.
- Innovate approaches for exploration, analysis, and feature selection from multidimensional data.
- Execute analytical experiments to solve healthcare problems and make impactful recommendations.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns, interpreting with clear objectives.
- Use tools and techniques like Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad, Apache Superset, and relevant Python packages.
- Implement Python packages for population predictions, activity outliers, and provider-specific analytics.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years leading healthcare analytics functions.
- 7+ years preferred in healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad, Apache Superset, and Python data science packages.
- Familiar with relational database concepts and SDLC.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to organize unstructured problems.

Pay Range: $129,504 - $303,040 annually. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, education, and skills.
