Position Responsibilities
  • Shape Deltek's global compensation strategy and philosophy, including salary structures and incentive design, ensuring a clear connection between company performance, individual contribution, and pay outcomes across the organization.
  • Lead global market intelligence, compensation analytics, and pay equity efforts, including salary surveys, benchmarking, compensation distribution analysis, and retention risk assessment. Translate insights into recommendations and action plans that strengthen market competitiveness, internal equity, and business decision‑making.
  • Oversee global job architecture, leveling, and base pay governance to ensure consistency, transparency, and effective administration across countries and regions.
  • Design, administer, and continuously evolve all incentive plans—both revenue‑generating (sales, quota‑bearing) and non‑revenue‑generating (corporate, functional, and operational) programs—ensuring plans are competitive, clearly structured, and tightly aligned to business objectives.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders on key talent and pay decisions, including competitive salary offers, retention strategies, and career development considerations.
  • Partner with Finance to develop and govern the annual compensation budget, including merit pool sizing and incentive accrual modeling, ensuring compensation investments are strategically allocated.
  • Lead annual compensation cycles with a focus on scalable execution, clear guidance, and practical tools that enable managers to make differentiated and informed pay decisions.
  • Modernize compensation systems, tools, and processes by defining and executing a roadmap for next‑generation infrastructure and leveraging AI and automation to improve manager decision‑making, market pricing, streamline workflows, and increase efficiency.
  • Provide compensation expertise for mergers and acquisitions, including diligence and integration planning to support business and financial goals.
  • Ensure global compliance with pay‑related regulations, including pay transparency, equal pay, and country‑specific labor requirements, while helping compensation programs be understood, adopted, and executed effectively worldwide.
  • Lead and develop the compensation function by setting vision and priorities, building team capability and bench strength, and operating as a player‑coach who can step into complex analyses, executive‑level decisions, and critical deliverables when needed.
  • Lead compensation change management and communication strategy for major program launches and annual cycles, creating tools, templates, manager enablement resources, employee education, and executive briefings that build compensation literacy, reinforce our pay‑for‑performance philosophy, and support effective adoption across the business.
  • Partner with the Global Benefits team to shape our Total Rewards approach and philosophy.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and administering incentive plans, including both revenue‑generating and non‑revenue‑generating programs with a strong grasp of plan mechanics, governance, and alignment to business performance.
  • Experience managing compensation across multiple international regions, with a strong understanding of regulatory and cultural considerations that influence pay design.
  • Experience leveraging technology, data and emerging AI tools to improve compensation decision‑making, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Experience leading through change and navigating complex stakeholder dynamics with credibility and influence.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and advise leaders on complex compensation decisions.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to align compensation strategies to company performance, financial goals and long‑term value creation.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to leverage data, scenario modeling, and market insights to inform decisions, navigate tradeoffs, and build credible recommendations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including global scope with complex regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. CCP/CECP preferred.
