Job summary

Distinction LLC is seeking an educator to provide 1:1 and group instruction to support student online learning toward earning a high school diploma at the Job Corps Center in St. Louis. The role emphasizes confidentiality and progress tracking to ensure successful outcomes.

You will coordinate the diploma education program, support student advancement, and apply competency-based instruction with diverse teaching approaches to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education with State certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate student completion of approved online high school diploma program.
• Meet Department of Labor (DOL) and Company statistical goals for assigned area.
• Demonstrate ability to manage classroom environment and classroom discipline for effective learning.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of competency-based instruction, computer management instruction, and cooperative-learning techniques.
• Tailor facilitation to each student by using a variety of instructional approaches in recognition of students’ diverse learning needs and preferences.
• Make recommendations for policy and curriculum revisions.
• Participate in evaluations of student progress.
• Provide appropriate personal and educational guidance to students.
