Job summary

Rapport International is seeking qualified interpreters for in-person interpretation in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. This independent contractor role offers flexible hours and requires full bilingual proficiency, strong communication, medical terminology familiarity, and HIPAA compliance.

Dinka interpreters are particularly sought after, with availability M-F 7AM–5PM preferred. Proof of vaccination is required; exemptions may be considered with accommodations.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance
• Must provide IN PERSON interpreters only, must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.
• Interpreting and translation responsibilities will be performed in Lincoln, NE.
