Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess ability to communicate verbally, read and write English.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Courses in Food Service Administration and Sanitation or willing to obtain within three months; ServSafe required.
• Must be computer literate and able to utilize computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the Dietary Department, including personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Supervise and train dietary staff; coordinate orientation for new employees.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and HIPAA rules.
• Monitor food temperatures, storage and labeling; maintain quality standards.
• Oversee inventory, purchases, and vendor coordination; control waste and theft.
• Collaborate with administrators, care coordinators, and dietitians on meal plans.
