In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a quality dining experience by overseeing that the dining room staff is well trained, knowledgeable about all menus, and that all dining room employees provide a high level of hospitality and service.

Job Responsibilities

1. Supervise the daily operation of dining rooms, room service, and convenience store.
2. Ensure room service orders are delivered timely and accurately.
3. Oversee the smooth and timely opening of the dining room.
4. Assist in creating weekly schedules within budgetary guidelines for service staff.
5. Ensure adequate staffing for each shift and manage coverage for absences.
6. Lead the training of all new dining room employees.
7. Assist service staff during mealtime as needed.
8. Oversee resident billing for food service charges.
9. Manage dining staff effectively.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of previous food service experience.
• Management experience is a plus but not required.
• Required certifications such as Serv Safe or other local, county, or state certifications.
• Ability to switch tasks quickly and efficiently.
• Positive, professional attitude with clear and respectful communication skills.
• Pride in the quality and presentation of food and cleanliness of the dining and kitchen areas.
• Patience and effective communication skills with diverse personalities.
