Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years experience in commercial kitchen/ops or training.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.
• State food service certification required if applicable.
• ACF Certified Sous Chef (CSC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and supervises dining services at one or more locations.
• Maintains quality dining services within budget.
• Plans menus and controls food costs; may prepare meals.
• Oversees food prep and cooking per procedures.
• Inspects work, storage, and serving areas for sanitation compliance.
• Prepares cleaning schedule, production worksheet, and staff schedules.
• Trains new employees and delegates tasks to staff.
• Directs cost control systems and department budget submission.
• Provides nutrition education to residents and staff.
• Ensures safe work procedures and injury prevention.
• Maintains continuous quality improvement programs.
