Compass Group USA's Chartwells Higher Ed in Fairbanks, AK seeks an Assistant Director of Dining Services I to support day-to-day operations at a medium to large campus facility.

You will lead a team, develop talent, manage client relationships, and drive profitability while aligning with financial goals. Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills are essential, with a preferred associate degree.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large location.
• Manages and leads a team of associates and develops talent.
• Manages client relationships, profitability, and supports financial goals.
• Works with Chef and management to create top quality, nutritious food.
