Job summary

The position is a 9-month, 40 hours per week, requiring evenings and weekends. Responsibilities include supervising staff, food prep, service, and sanitation in a dynamic campus dining environment.

Qualifications

• Good guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible rotating schedule.
• Food Handler certification within 30 days.
• Allertrain U certification within 30 days.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation.
• Able to perform physical duties (lifting, bending, standing).
• Food service or guest service experience preferred.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise team in assigned service area ensuring efficiency and hospitality.
• Prepare and serve food as needed.
• Perform prep work: wash/peel/cut fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients.
• Move food between stations following safety standards.
• Store food properly with proper dating and rotation.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies and equipment.
• Follow recipes and portions for quality.
• Serve guests in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Process orders at POS and handle payments.
• Assist with set-up and break-down of dining area.
• Clean dining facility (sweeping, mopping, restrooms).
• Resolve guest concerns and inform supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with dining standards and sanitation.
• Assist with catered events as scheduled.
• Adhere to uniform policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
