Position Summary
The University of Dayton, a top-tier Catholic research institution, is seeking a dedicated Dining Service Attendant to join our dining halls! As a Dining Service Attendant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our students, faculty, and staff. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment, assisting with food preparation and service, and providing friendly and attentive customer service. This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay. Performs a variety of duties related to food service and sanitation in a timely and efficient manner including but not limited to; greeting and serving customers, stocking counters and serving areas, preparing and replenishing beverages and food items, washing and storing properly all dishes, trays, eating utensils, cups, pots and pans. Maintains work station, other food service areas and equipment to meet cleanliness and food safety standards. Assists with preparation of items used in recipes. Assists others as directed. Must be able to effectively communicate (written and spoken) directly with other employees and staff members in English in a pleasant and professional manner. May be assigned to various or specifics areas based on operational needs. May assist with processing GET orders (Reads tickets to add condiments, beverages, desserts to order, plastic wear, takes order to appropriate pick up area.)
