Job summary

Cedarhurst of McHenry is seeking a Dining Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. You will provide courteous table service, maintain cleanliness, and support meal service and events in a caring senior living community.

The role requires strong communication, adherence to food safety standards, and collaboration with team members to ensure resident wellbeing. Training and growth opportunities are available within Cedarhurst’s supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions, ensuring resident satisfaction.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service to residents and guests in a courteous, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by washing pots, pans, and utensils used in meal preparation, following all food safety standards.
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; dispose of trash and clean containers; and complete daily checklists to ensure kitchen and dining areas are consistently maintained.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas, including floors, tables, and chairs after meals and events, and ensure sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping are completed at the end of each shift.
• Demonstrate knowledge of dining menus and effectively communicate menu details to residents and guests.
