Job summary

Farmstead Living is actively seeking Culinary Assistants to join our dining services team. We offer full time or part time roles with weekend opportunities.

Shifts include 7am–3pm for FT/PT and 4pm–7pm for PT. As a Culinary Assistant, you will serve meals cheerfully, follow portion guidelines, keep dishes and prep areas clean, operate kitchen equipment safely, assist with food prep, and store leftovers properly to maintain food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude
• Friendly with excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and offer menu choices to residents in a cheerful, respectful, and professional manner.
• Follow established portion control guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and according to sanitation standards.
• Assist with food preparation and meal service as assigned.
• Store leftovers and food items according to food safety and handling procedures.
• Pre-soak, sort, wash, and properly store dishes, utensils, and cookware.
