Job summary

Monarch Communities and Brandywine Senior Living are seeking a part-time Dining Server to deliver friendly, attentive service to Residents and guests. You will take meal orders, serve meals, and assist with beverages while maintaining a warm dining atmosphere.

Prior hospitality experience in senior living is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is accepted. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to resident satisfaction daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in fine dining hospitality and/or senior living preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide thoughtful service.
• Experience working with seniors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive manner.
• Learn and retain residents' names, preferences, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure dining room setup and service supplies are ready for use.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing dining areas and service stations.
• Prepare beverages, snacks, desserts, and condiments for service.
• Support residents with special dining requests and attendance documentation.
• Participate in events and in-service trainings as scheduled.
• Adhere to all regulations and community policies.

Job Description

The Dining Servers provide excellent customer service and create a pleasant dining experience for Residents and guests, through taking meal orders, serving meals, and providing assistance. Various full and part time schedules available.

Schedule: Part-time

Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.50 Hourly

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Assist with special events
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred/GED accepted
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience working with seniors

Physical Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
