Job summary

Monarch Communities in Linwood, New Jersey is seeking a part-time server to inform residents of daily menu selections and to professionally present and serve meals with exceptional customer service. You will help keep the dining room clean and welcoming, report resident information to supervision, and collaborate with teammates across departments to support resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of state food-handling regulations is helpful.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greets and informs residents of available menu selections.
• Reports pertinent resident information to the supervisor and responds to inquiries.
• Interacts daily with memory care residents and can conduct specialized programming.
• Cleans tables and sets them for the next meal seating.
• Vacuums carpet in the dining room after each meal.
• Works cooperatively within the department and with other departments.

Job Description

The primary purpose of the server position is to inform the residents of the menu selections for the day and professionally present and serve resident meals with a high level of customer service to their satisfaction. This position also requires staff to ensure the dining room is clean and welcoming as may be directed by supervisor.

Salary Range: $15.92 Hourly

Key Responsibilites:

• Greets and informs residents of available menu selections
• Report pertinent resident information to the immediate supervisor and respond positively to resident inquiries or requests
• Position requires daily social interaction with memory care residents, ability, to conduct specialized programming as well
• Cleans tables at the end of meal and sets the tables for next meal seating
• Vacuums carpet in dining room after each meal
• Work cooperatively withing the department as well as with other departments

Qualifications

This is a Part-time position with the potential for Full-time
