Job summary

Garden Spot Village is seeking a part-time Dining Server to contribute to dietary functions and meal service, ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming, and professional environment. This role supports dining operations, special events, and resident satisfaction.

Shifts are available from 10:30am-3:30pm or 3:30pm-7:30pm, with weekend/holiday coverage required. Benefits include health insurance, a 401K with company match, tuition assistance, and a first-time homebuyer

Responsibilities

• Comply with policies, procedures and standards including Code of Conduct.
• Serve residents’ meals in dining venues and greet residents and staff.
• Assist with set-up and service of special events and maintain safe work areas.
• Observe infection control procedures and adhere to dietary safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service.

At Garden Spot Village, our Dining Servers provide assistance in dietary functions and meal service, ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming, and professional environment. This role supports dining operations, special events, and overall resident satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, conditions, and family matters
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations governing food handling, storage, and work environment
• Comply with established dietary standards of food safety
• Prepare condiments, desserts, garnishes, salads, and beverages
• Serve residents’ meals in various dining venues
• Greet residents, staff, and customers; take food orders and serve meals following dining venue protocols and service standards
• Handle leftovers properly as assigned
• Assist with set-up and service of special events
• Wash and sanitize work stations and café tables
• Restock work stations and café service areas
• Assist with dishwashing, pots, and pans
• Meet meal schedules and maintain timely service
• Work cooperatively with food service staff and other departments
• Attend in-service training programs for Dining Services employees
• Observe infection control procedures related to Dining Services
• Perform quality assurance duties as assigned
• Collaborate with residents, resident representatives, staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers
• Perform all duties efficiently, timely, and professionally
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
