Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Ability to operate and care for institutional large kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, servicing, portioning and monitoring cafeteria meals for staff and students.
• Assist in set up and monitoring of tables, service areas and dish washing.
• Clean dining room & Food Service facilities after meals.
• Prepare and service a variety of catered events.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may work catering functions before/after regular shifts.

MHS is seeking a part-time Dining Room Worker (DRW) for the Middle School Cafeteria. This position is responsible for assisting in preparing, servicing, portioning, and monitoring the school cafeteria meals for staff and students. Additional duties include but are not limited to assisting in the set up & monitoring of tables, service areas and dish washing, cleaning up the dining room & Food Service facilities after the meals are served, preparing, and servicing a variety of catered events, and performing other duties as assigned. The part-time DRW may work catering functions prior to and/or beyond the normal regular work/shift schedule (plus shift differential).

This is year-round position with standard work schedule Monday - Friday up to 29 hours per week. Flexibility with the schedule is essential to meet the needs of the school (earlier starts, occasional weekends & evenings for catering). Bargaining unit position with OPS-464. Hourly pay rate: $26.23 per hour. Part-time employees are eligible for a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program (EAP), free lunches when on duty, and Hershey area discounts.

Qualifications
