Job summary

The Palace Group in Coral Gables, Florida is seeking a Dietary Supervisor for its Palace Renaissance & Royale Assisted Living & Catered Living Community in Miami. The role involves planning, directing, staffing, leading, and coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control to deliver outstanding dining experiences.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in food service and in supervising dining room staff.
• Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension. Spanish referred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and supervising dining room waiters and waitresses.
• Assist with orientation and training of new waiters and waitresses.
• Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
• Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
• Ability to promote and execute our culture of “Yes”.
