Job summary

John Knox Village of Central Florida in Orange City seeks a Dining Supervisor to supervise and direct wait staff, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests. You will manage an assigned dining venue, maintain cleanliness and accuracy in service, and uphold hospitality standards.

You will participate in interviewing and prescreening, help with hiring and training, monitor dress code and customer relations, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering outstanding service

Qualifications

• Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse.
• Minimum of two years of food and beverage experience.
• Basic knowledge of math and computer operations.
• Must follow uniform dress code and wear name tag at all times.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must read, write and verbally communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct wait staff to ensure high quality in food and service.
• Manage the dining venue to provide the best experience for residents and guests.
• Participate in interviewing and prescreening new hires.
• Make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions and promotions.
• Train new employees and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper setup in the dining area.
• Ensure accurate billing for special functions and maintain professional demeanor.
