Job summary

We are currently seeking a Dining Room Supervisor who has a passion for hospitality, enjoys leading a team, and takes pride in creating exceptional dining experiences for our residents and guests.

As our Dining Room Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to enrich lives each day by ensuring our residents and guests receive warm, attentive, and personalized service. You will help oversee daily dining room operations, providing hands-on leadership and support to our dining team while maintaining Touchmark's high standards of hospitality.

In this role, you will lead, coach, and mentor dining room team members, helping them develop their customer service skills and maintain high standards of dining etiquette, food safety, and sanitation. You will help coordinate meal services, communicate daily expectations, and ensure the dining room operates smoothly and efficiently. You will also work closely with dining and culinary leadership to support special events, address resident needs and preferences, and create a welcoming atmosphere where residents look forward to gathering and enjoying their meals.

This position will primarily work evenings and weekends, with some holidays and special events as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking the lead during busy dining services while ensuring a consistently high-quality experience for our residents and guests.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Demonstrate a commitment to Touchmark's core values of hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training or education is a plus.
• Have at least one year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or dining environment; experience in senior living is a plus!
• Be a positive, hands‑on leader who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members.
• Have strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Be comfortable leading daily team meetings, communicating service expectations, and helping coordinate staffing and dining room operations.
• Be able to respond professionally to resident requests and concerns while maintaining a welcoming and positive dining experience.
• Have an understanding of food safety and sanitation practices and be willing to learn about the unique dietary needs and preferences of older adults.
• Have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's Permit within the first month of employment, along with any required alcohol service certifications.
• Be available to work primarily evenings and weekends, with some holidays and special events as needed.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and remain on their feet for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to communicate effectively and maintain a patient, professional, and respectful approach when interacting with residents, families, team members, and visitors.
