Job summary

All American Assisted Living at Tinton Falls is seeking friendly and dependable Dining Room Servers to join our team. You will greet residents, take orders, serve meals, and help maintain a welcoming dining environment in a climate-controlled facility.

This role emphasizes meaningful work with older adults and teamwork in a busy dining room. The shift is every other weekend, with opportunities to participate in training and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, patient and dependable personality.
• Genuine interest in working with older adults.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized in a busy dining environment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Previous restaurant, food service or wait staff experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
• Set and prepare dining room tables before meals
• Help residents find comfortable seating
• Take meal and beverage orders
• Explain available menu options when needed
• Serve meals, beverages, desserts, coffee and tea
• Refill water and offer additional servings
• Clear and reset tables between meals
• Help keep the dining room clean, organized and welcoming
• Assist in the dish room, including operating the dishwasher and putting away clean dishes
• Safely store and return walkers and other mobility devices
• Attend required meetings and in-service training
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Complete other dining service duties as assigned
