Job summary

Fountain View at Logan Square is seeking a Dining Room Server to join our team. The role offers part-time weekend shifts from 4 pm–8 pm and 12:30 pm–5 pm on Sundays, with full weekend availability. Compensation is $15.45 per hour, with all-inclusive pay and Same Day Pay options.

The Dining Room Server will help with meal service, interact warmly with residents, and maintain clean dining spaces while supporting personalized care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Prior work in food service or customer service is a plus.
• Experience delivering friendly, resident-centered service is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen with meal prep and service to residents.
• Provide friendly, attentive service for a positive dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and service areas.
• Follow procedures and regulatory requirements for nutrition and safety.
• Set up and clear tables, stock supplies, and prepare dining areas.
• Communicate resident preferences and dietary needs to the team.
• Work collaboratively to ensure smooth dining operations.

Responsibilities for Dining Room Server:

• Assist in the kitchen with meal preparation and meal service to residents, ensuring meals are served in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
• Provide friendly, attentive service that fosters a positive, enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and food-service equipment in accordance with safety and infection-control standards.
• Follow directions regarding compliance with nutritional standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with setting up and clearing tables, stocking supplies, and preparing dining areas to create an inviting environment.
• Communicate resident preferences, concerns, and special dietary requests to appropriate team members to support individualized care.
• Work collaboratively as a team player, willingly assisting wherever needed to ensure smooth dining operations and exceptional service.

Qualifications for Dining Room Server:

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Prior work experience with food preparation or customer service is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
