Job summary

Jackson Creek Senior Living is hiring a Dining Room Server for the daytime shift (7:00am-3:00pm). The role includes serving meals and beverages, bussing tables, and maintaining the dining area to ensure a pleasant resident experience.

You will take orders, use the POS system, and tailor service to individual resident preferences while upholding cleanliness and confidentiality standards. Age 16+; prior food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand English.
• Provide friendly, patient service to residents.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining area.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist throughout the dining experience.
• Take all orders and process them in the POS system.
• Provide high levels of resident satisfaction during service.
• Set and reset tables for meals.
• Inform residents about the day’s menu and options.
• Address residents by name and know their preferences.
• Prepare beverages and keep glasses filled.
• Clear tables and bus tables after meals.
• Vacuum dining area after meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Report on-the-job injuries to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Dining Room Server

Salary Range: $15.00 To $15.00 Hourly

Position: Daytime Shift, Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm

Position Overview

The position will assist with serving meals and beverages, bussing tables and cleaning the dining area.

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
• Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
• Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu.
• Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes.
• Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident.
• Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled.
• Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished.
• Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down

• Some experience in food service is preferred
