Dial is seeking a Dining Room Server to assist with serving meals and beverages, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean dining area for residents. This part-time evening role offers opportunities to interact with residents and work in a supportive kitchen environment.

You will take orders, use the POS system, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere. Benefits include PTO, tuition assistance, holiday pay, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents meals and beverages, buss and clean dining area.
• Take orders and process them in the POS system.
• Provide friendly, attentive service to residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Set tables for meals and reset for next seating.
• Inform residents of daily menu options and specials.
• Address residents by name and accommodate food/beverage preferences.
• Keep water, coffee and beverages filled; assist with clearing tables as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and safety procedures.

Position Overview

The position will assist with serving meals and beverages, bussing tables and cleaning the dining area.

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
• Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
• Inform residents what foods are available on the day's menu.
• Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes.
• Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident.
• Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled.
• Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished.
• Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down
