Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in Dallas is seeking a Dining Room Server for our on-site restaurant in the Assisted Living community. You will deliver hands-on table service, take orders, and support meal service for planned events, collaborating with the Dining Room Coordinator and teammates.

The role requires weekend/evening availability, empathy for seniors, reliability, and a fast-paced hospitality mindset. Walk-in interviews Tuesdays 1pm-3pm.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to communicate clearly in English, written and verbal.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Experience in dining or restaurant service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive dining service to assigned tables in the on-site restaurant.
• Take orders, make menu recommendations, and deliver meals promptly.
• Ensure correct temperatures and presentation of dishes.
• Prepare dining room for service and maintain cleanliness during meals.
• Assist with meal service at special events and celebrations.
• Maintain guest satisfaction throughout each meal.

About The Role

As a Dining Room Server at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will play an active role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional dining experience throughout each meal and special event. Working collaboratively with our Dining Room Coordinator and other Dining Room Servers, you will provide hands-on table service and assist with special event meal service in our Assisted Living community. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age.

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and personalized dining service to a group of assigned tables in our on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience
• Take accurate orders, offer menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy
• Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready
• Assist with meal service at special events and celebrations held within the Belmont Village community
• Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Must be able to efficiently multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, hospitality oriented position
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and prior Restaurant Server experience is preferred
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
