Belmont Village Senior Living in San Diego, CA is seeking a Dining Room Server to provide attentive table service in our on-site restaurant, supporting meals and special events in the Assisted Living community.

Working collaboratively with a team, you will take orders, serve meals, assist with events, and help maintain a welcoming dining environment where residents feel valued. This role offers steady scheduling and growth opportunities within a compassionate, service‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to learn and work hands-on in a hospitality role.
• Prior restaurant server experience and knowledge of dining etiquette preferred.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive dining service to assigned tables in our on-site restaurant.
• Take orders, recommend menu items, and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature with proper presentation.
• Prepare and set up the dining room for service and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with meal service at special events and celebrations.
• Support team with guest needs throughout each meal.

Full-Time & Part-Time - Shifts Vary: 6:30am-2:00pm, 10:45am-7:15pm, 4:00pm-8:00pm

Days vary to include weekends

$19-20/hour (No tips)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Dining Room Server at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will play an active role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional dining experience throughout each meal and special event.

Working collaboratively with a team, you will provide hands-on table service and assist with special event service in our Assisted Living community.

YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide attentive and personalized dining service to a group of assigned tables in our on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience
• Take accurate orders, offer menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy
• Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready
• Assist with meal service at special events and celebrations held within the Belmont Village community
• Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Must be able to efficiently multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and work in a hands‑on, hospitality oriented position
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and prior Restaurant Server experience is preferred
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
