Job summary

Mattos Hospitality is opening a new NYC venture in early 2027 and seeks a Dining Room Manager to lead daily dining room service, train the FOH team, and establish service standards during pre‑opening. The role involves close collaboration with restaurant leadership to shape the guest experience.

The ideal candidate will have proven FOH leadership, strong floor presence, and a commitment to warm, attentive hospitality across service and events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dining Room Manager or FOH leadership role in a high‑quality, full‑service restaurant.
• Experience supporting a restaurant opening or building a service team from its early stages is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of service, hospitality, and dining room operations.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop front‑of‑house teams.
• A thoughtful approach to hospitality with the ability to anticipate guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily dining room service with a strong floor presence and consistent execution of standards.
• Participate in pre‑opening recruitment, training, and systems implementation.
• Lead pre‑service meetings and ensure the team has relevant menu and operational info.
• Train, coach, and develop FOH team while maintaining professionalism.
• Support General Manager and Assistant GM in day‑to‑day operations.
• Manage opening/closing procedures and maintain a prepared dining room.
• Monitor guest experience and address feedback with sound judgment.
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure kitchen‑to‑dining room cohesion.
• Work with beverage team on product knowledge and execution.
