Sagora Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a Dining Room Manager for The Brennity at Vero Beach, a retirement community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

The role focuses on supervising dining room operations, hiring and training staff, and delivering exceptional resident service during all meals. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years in hospitality, a current Food Handler's permit, and flexibility to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent education/experience mix.
• Must have a current Food Handler's permit.
• Ability to work all shifts and cover openings when needed.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train new culinary associates with the Culinary Director.
• Schedule servers and supervise dining room operations.
• Ensure timely service and residents' food/beverage preferences.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and readiness; monthly kitchen deep cleaning.
• Oversee service staff and catering tasks as assigned.
• Assist with alcohol service in line with regulations and Sagora policies.
• Manage sanitation and safety responsibilities and personal appearance standards.
• Assist with records, reports, and paperwork; build relationships with staff.

Shift(s): Looking for the right fit in a Dining Room Manager for a retirement community. You would oversee the day to day supervision of the dining room, interview, hire, and train new team members. the hours are 11:30a to 7pm, weekends and holidays as needed.

What does a Dining Room Manager at Sagora do?

• Interview, select, and train new culinary associates in conjunction with the Culinary Director


• Schedule servers


• Maintain the flow of service from the kitchen to the dining room to ensure all residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages timely


• Always keep the dining room clean and service ready


• Deep clean kitchen on a monthly basis


• Management and supervision of all service associates assigned to dining room


• Execution of catering responsibilities as assigned by supervisor


• Assist with management of alcohol service in accordance with state and federal regulations and Sagora Senior Living policies


• Management of all sanitation and safety functions and responsibilities


• Maintain proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures for all food and beverage associates


• Assist with any records, reports, and paperwork as assigned


• Develop and maintain good working relationships with associates


• Learn all departmental systems and serve as a relief backup operator for these systems as needed

What do you need to be a Dining Room Manager?

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred (Hospitality Management desired)


• 3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent educational and experience combination


• Must have a current Food Handler's permit


• Ability to work all shifts and cover for shift openings that occur


• Organization skills with ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team-oriented environment


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members.
