Job summary

Sagora Senior Living, Inc. invites applications for a Dining Room Manager at The Harrison of Wildwood. You will collaborate with the Culinary Director to hire and schedule serving staff, ensuring residents receive the highest quality service at every meal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Hospitality (preferred).
• 3 years progressive hospitality experience or equivalent combination.
• Current Food Handler's permit required.
• Ability to work all shifts and cover openings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train new culinary associates with the Culinary Director.
• Schedule servers and manage dining room staff.
• Ensure timely service and residents' food/beverage preferences.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and readiness; perform monthly deep clean of kitchen.
• Oversee sanitation, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with records, reports, and paperwork; build good relationships with staff.

What does a Dining Room Manager at Sagora do?

• Interview, select, and train new culinary associates in conjunction with the Culinary Director
• Schedule servers
• Maintain the flow of service from the kitchen to the dining room to ensure all residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages timely
• Always keep the dining room clean and service ready
• Deep clean kitchen on a monthly basis
• Management and supervision of all service associates assigned to dining room
• Execution of catering responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
• Assist with management of alcohol service in accordance with state and federal regulations and Sagora Senior Living policies
• Management of all sanitation and safety functions and responsibilities
• Maintain proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures for all food and beverage associates
• Assist with any records, reports, and paperwork as assigned
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with associates
• Learn all departmental systems and serve as a relief backup operator for these systems as needed

What do you need to be a Dining Room Manager?

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred (Hospitality Management desired)
• 3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent educational and experience combination
• Must have a current Food Handler's permit
• Ability to work all shifts and cover for shift openings that occur
• Organization skills with ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with
  residents, families, and other team members.
