Job summary

HHS Senior Living, LLC is seeking a warm, high-energy leader to oversee the cafeteria and retail bistro within Lutheran Home, guiding day-to-day operations and ensuring a welcoming dining experience for hospital staff and families.

You will manage a goal-driven team, drive customer satisfaction, and oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and cost controls. This healthcare dining leadership role offers growth opportunities within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of retail food experience in quick-serve restaurants, supermarket merchandising, or fine dining.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Experience with cash handling policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with POS/register systems.
• Knowledge of hospital food service operations.

• Manage the cafe retail area to provide excellent customer service and support revenue growth.
• Provide leadership that supports a team environment that fosters morale, passion, quality, and respect.
• Develop and monitor evaluation processes for customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate continuous ability to maintain and/or improve customer satisfaction through communication, integrity, and performance.
• Lead retail team member recruiting, training, development, scheduling, and assignments.
• Perform daily inspections and assessments and coach and counsel team members.
• Manage and monitor all department sales and costs.

Job Description We are seeking a warm, high-energy leader to join our culinary team and bring our cafeteria and retail bistro to life! Requirements

• Minimum associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of retail food experience in quick-serve restaurants, supermarket merchandising, or fine dining
• 3+ years of management
• Experience with cash handling policies and procedures
• Familiarity with various point of sales (POS)/register systems
• Knowledge of hospital food service operations
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and ordering platforms
• Must be willing to relocate for promotion opportunities
• Not Required But a Big Plus Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), or willingness to obtain certification within 18 months
