Distinctive Living in Toms River, NJ seeks a Restaurant and Hospitality Manager (Full-Time) to oversee the dining service department under the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality. You will ensure quality service during meals, manage staff, and coordinate with the management company on relevant matters.

The role emphasizes staff development, service excellence, safety, and collaboration with residents and team members to deliver a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or related field.
• Minimum three years' experience in food service.
• Prior supervisory/management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops a positive customer service culture in the dining room through staff training.
• Ensures staff provides service that maintains resident experiences during mealtimes.
• Screens, interviews, hires, trains, manages, and coaches all staff in the dining department.
• Schedules employees to meet the labor budget and manages labor daily.
• Maintains a clean dining room and keeps equipment, walls, tables and chairs in good condition.
• Ensures safety compliance and assists with injury investigations and communications with HR.
• Fosters teamwork and supports colleagues, residents, and visitors.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
