Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is hiring a Utility team member at Laurel Glen at Stephenville Assisted Living & Memory Care. This role supports dining room and kitchen cleanup, assisting the Dining Room Manager and Culinary Director to ensure hospitality and high resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
• Must have a food handler’s permit as required by state and/or local authority.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect dishes and kitchen utensils from tables during mealtimes.
• Wash dishes and utensils, ensuring highest cleanliness standards.
• Monitor dishwasher temperature daily and report any issues to the Culinary Director.
• Remove cracked or broken dishes or damaged utensils.
• Store dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for next use.
• Set up tables and beverage station and refill salt, pepper, sugar dispensers.
• Portion salads and desserts to proper serving sizes.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in a friendly manner; deliver to rooms as needed.
• Dispose of trash properly and maintain clean work areas.
• Clean dishwasher machine inside and out after each shift; deep-clean monthly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in cooler, and freezer each evening.
