Job summary

Chick-fil-A is seeking a friendly Dining Room Host to warmly welcome guests, maintain a clean and comfortable dining area, and anticipate guest needs throughout their visit.

You will engage with guests, assist with seating, and provide exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth within a team dedicated to remarkable hospitality.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is helpful but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant
• Engage with guests throughout their visit and provide exceptional hospitality
• Check on guests and anticipate needs before being asked
• Refresh beverages and provide condiments, napkins, or other items as needed
• Assist guests with seating and mobility within the dining room
• Maintain cleanliness and well-stocked dining areas
• Communicate guest needs or concerns to leadership
• Work with Front of House team during busy periods
• Look for opportunities to create memorable guest experiences
• Maintain Chick-fil-A standards for cleanliness, safety, hospitality, and professionalism

Dining Room Host Responsibilities

As a Dining Room Host, your primary responsibility is to create a clean, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming environment for every guest who enters our restaurant.

Responsibilities include:

• Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant
• Engage with guests throughout their visit and look for opportunities to provide exceptional hospitality
• Check on guests in the dining room and anticipate needs before being asked
• Refresh beverages and provide condiments, napkins, or other items as needed
• Assist guests with carrying trays, finding seating, or navigating the restaurant
• Provide extra care and assistance to families with young children, elderly guests, and guests who may need additional help
• Maintain clean and well-stocked beverage, condiment, and dining room areas
• Communicate guest needs or concerns to restaurant leadership
• Help resolve simple guest concerns and connect guests with a leader when needed
• Work alongside Front of House Team Members during busy periods
• Look for opportunities to create memorable experiences for guests
• Maintain Chick-fil-A standards for cleanliness, safety, hospitality, and professionalism

Qualifications

• Ability to bend, reach, sweep, clean, and complete other physical responsibilities of the position
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable transportation
• Must meet all age and employment requirements applicable to the position

While cleanliness is an important part of this position, the heart of the Dining Room Host role is hospitality.

You may be the person who notices a parent trying to manage several young children and offers to carry their tray. You may refill someone's beverage before they have to ask, help an older guest to their table, celebrate with a family having a special day, or simply take a moment to have a meaningful conversation with one of our regular guests.

Those small moments matter.
