Job summary

Life Enriching Communities is seeking a Dining Manager to lead the dining operations across multiple living areas at Wesley Ridge in Reynoldsburg, OH. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, maintaining exceptional resident dining experiences, and ensuring compliant, high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, solid customer service skills, and a background in fine dining within senior living or related facilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 3 years related to Fine Dining in a continuous care retirement community, hospital, or similar facility preferred.
• Serv Safe food management certification (Level 2 management course)

Responsibilities

• Leads the day-to-day operations of the public campus dining areas as well as the kitchen and dining experience on all SNF, Memory Support, Assisted Living and Health Pavilion floors including training, scheduling and supervising; in charge when Director of Dining is off campus.
• Ensures departmental compliance with all local, state, federal and facility rules and regulations, including food safety and temperature requirements.
• Establishes inventory par levels necessary to meet operational needs (silverware, dishes, lines, office supplies, uniforms, etc.)
• Assists in developing, planning and supervising special functions, providing feedback regarding resident preferences.
• Plans or assists in coordinating special events and ensures that fees for services are charged to appropriate departments/users of the facility.
• Assists in monitoring programs and procedures to ensure on-time delivery and resident satisfaction.
• Assists in Development and recommends strategies/tactics to ensure the highest level of quality in resident dining services.

Schedule: Full-Time, Days | 40 hours a week I 9:30am-5:30pm

You, our Ideal Candidate

You are a service-oriented and experienced dining professional with a passion for leading and mentoring others. You model exceptional service, have a strong understanding of dining operations, and bring enthusiasm to training and supporting team members while ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Leads the day-to-day operations of the public campus dining areas as well as the kitchen and dining experience on all SNF, Memory Support, Assisted Living and Health Pavilion floors including (but not limited to) training, scheduling and supervising; in charge when Director of Dining is off campus.
• Ensures departmental compliance with all the local, state, federal and facility rules and regulations, including compliance with safe food handling and temperature requirements for food and dishwater water requirements.
• Establishes inventory par levels necessary to meet operational needs (silverware, dishes, lines, office supplies, uniforms, etc.) in all dining areas under their supervision.
• Assists in developing, planning and supervising special functions, providing feedback regarding resident preferences.
• Plans or assists in coordinating special events and ensures that fees for services are charged to appropriate departments/users of the facility. Reconciles billing on a monthly basis.
• Assists in monitoring programs and procedures to ensure on-time delivery and resident satisfaction. Visits residents, family members, and guests during mealtime(s) to evaluate the quality of meals served and to invite feedback regarding menu selection, food taste, presentation, and service.
• Assists in Development and recommends strategies/tactics to ensure the highest level of quality in resident dining services, nutrition, and meal preparation. Set performance standards, measures outcomes, and implements correction action to meet the campus's service goals. Instills in staff a concept of elegant dining for the residents.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
• A minimum of 1-year previous supervisory experience required.
• A minimum of 3 years related to Fine Dining, experience in a continuous care retirement community, hospital, or similar facility preferred.
• Serv Safe food management certification (Level 2 management course)
• Must posses a customer service background and orientation
