Job summary

Life Enriching Communities seeks a Dining Server Lead to guide dining staff in a senior living setting. You will oversee service flow, mentor team members, and ensure residents receive timely, high-quality meals in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include training, supervising service, maintaining cleanliness, and coordinating with kitchen and management to meet dietary needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• Some prior experience in a related food service position is preferred.
• Possess a customer service background and orientation.

Responsibilities

• Share regular constructive feedback to new servers, explaining proper techniques.
• Serve meals to residents in rooms and dining areas in a timely manner and follow diet regulations.
• Set up meal trays and dining room as instructed.
• Distribute and collect menus, know menu items and prep.
• Perform daily cleaning duties to ensure total cleanliness of meal service.
• Restock food and supplies for next meal service.
• Clear and reset tables and assist with dishwashing as needed.
• Record temperatures of food and dish machine water and notify management if out of range.

Schedule:Full-Time | 11:00am -7:30pm, Monday -Friday with every other weekend

You, our Ideal Candidate

You are a service-oriented and experienced dining professional with a passion for leading and mentoring others. You model exceptional service, have a strong understanding of dining operations, and bring enthusiasm to training and supporting team members while ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Share regular constructive feedback, providing explanation and demonstration of proper techniques to allow newly hired Universal Servers to understand expectations of the LEC way to perform role.
• Serve meals to residents in their rooms and dining areas in a friendly and timely manner, following all regulations regarding special diets.
• Setup meal trays and dining room as instructed.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary. Be familiar with menu and preparation of menu items.
• Complete daily cleaning duties as outlined in daily lists to ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the meal service (for example- clean work tables, sweep and mop floors, take out garbage and keep work areas, clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.}
• Restock food and supplies in preparation of the next meal service.
• Clear and reset tables.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils, etc. are readily available for next meal.
• Record temperatures of food and dish machine water as required. Notify Manager when dish machine water temperature or food temperature fall below required temperature levels.
• Transfer food from Main Kitchen to work area
• Use computer to submit and process checks in POS system
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform and in compliance dress code. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential. Wearing a hair net is required at all times.
