Job summary

Asbury Communities, Inc. seeks a Dining Services Manager to lead day-to-day operations in our senior living dining program in Mechanicsburg, PA.

This full-time role coordinates kitchen and serving staff, ensures meals are prepared safely and presented attractively, and collaborates with the General Manager on staffing and budgets. The position requires at least 3 years of culinary management in healthcare or senior living, a high school diploma, and ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• 3 years culinary-related management experience in healthcare or senior living.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides day to day direction to Dining Services staff and mentors on standards.
• Collaborates with the Dining Services General Manager to schedule staff efficiently.
• Oversees food service to ensure proper temperatures and attractive presentation.
• Conducts meet and greet sessions with new residents.
• Provides training and mentoring to Dining Services staff.
• Acts as Manager on Duty as required.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time Position
• Hours: Mondays-Friday 8:30-5:30 (dependent on business need)
• Requires working every other weekend & every other holiday
• Pay: $60,000-63,000/annually

Job Description

• Provides day to day direction to Dining Services staff. Plans, assigns and directs work while providing continuous coaching and mentoring on standards and policies.
• Collaborates with the Dining Services General Manager to establish a standard staff schedule that adequately and cost efficiently staffs the kitchen and serving functions for daily operation.
• Oversees food service in their designated area of operation including but not limited to ensuring that all meals are served at the proper temperature and are attractive/appetizing when served.
• Conducts meet and greet sessions with all new residents.
• Provides training and mentoring to Dining Services staff.
• Acts as Manager on Duty as required.

Qualifications

• 3 years culinary related management experience within the healthcare and/or senior living environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certification required.
