Job summary

Kitchen Utility Worker at Sodalis Senior Living supports the Culinary Services team with meal prep, service, dishwashing, and maintaining clean dining areas. Under the Culinary Director, you help ensure residents and guests enjoy a positive dining experience in a friendly, efficient environment.

You will assist with basic food prep, wash dishes, set up dining rooms, take orders as needed, and help maintain cleanliness while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in food service, dishwashing, or hospitality.
• Safe Food Handler certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, including cutting, portioning, and plating as directed.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment per health standards.
• Set up dining rooms before meal service and clean after meals while maintaining service standards.
• Take meal and drink orders as needed and serve meals in a friendly, timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with meals and dining experience.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules as directed by the Culinary Director.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.
• Assist with stocking supplies and rotating inventory.
• Support orientation and training of new culinary team members.
