Job summary

Punch Bowl Social in San Diego is looking for a friendly Host to set the vibe from the moment guests arrive. You’ll welcome guests, manage reservations, seat parties, answer phones, and keep the lobby guest-ready with a smile.

We value guests' experiences, teamwork, and great communication. Prior restaurant or bar experience is a plus, but not required and we offer growth opportunities and a referral bonus program.

Qualifications

• Must value guest experiences and pride in work.
• Positive attitude and good communication.
• Comfortable talking with strangers.
• Works well in a team.
• Experience in high-volume restaurant/bar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and take take-out orders.
• Keep lobby clean, safe, guest-ready.

As a Host, you’re the vibe-setter—the first face guests see and the last one they remember. The good news is that your training will teach you everything you need to know to succeed on the job.

But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

• You value guest experiences and take pride in everything you do
• You've got attitude (the right kind, of course)
• Communication is key - you should be comfortable talking with strangers
• You understand that work is easier - and more fun - with teamwork
• Some time working in a high-volume restaurant/bar is ideal
• Restaurant or bar experience is a plus, but not required!
