Job summary

Aramark in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Dining Hall Food Service Worker Lead to oversee daily food preparation, service, and station operations. You will work under supervision to ensure quality, portion control, and timely service to customers in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities include leading staff on the line, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating opening/closing tasks while delivering excellent customer interactions.

• Must be able to frequently lift and transport hot items.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of daily food preparation and dating products.
• Coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations designated by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
• Ensure accurate portioning when preparing and serving items.
• Maintain daily temperature logs.
• Take samples of all food items on the line before serving.
• Alert management and pull items not meeting quality standards.
• Complete opening and closing station checklists.
• Greet customers and assist as they leave the serving line.
• Maintain a clean workstation and sanitation of utensils, surfaces and equipment.
• Safely dispose of waste from the service line.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas as needed.
• Participate in daily safety observations and report hazards.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Work across concessions, catering, and special events as required.
• Complete tasks requested by supervision to ensure timely service.
