Job summary

Oak & Stone in Vermont is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests, present menus, and guide them to seating. You will manage wait lists, inform guests of wait times, and ensure a spotless host area.

The role includes greeting guests on arrival and departure, maintaining restrooms, stocking menus, and assisting with miscellaneous tasks as directed by management. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, excellent guest service skills, and a neat, professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests and informs them of specials.
• Takes names on a waiting list and quotes wait times when tables aren’t available.
• Maintains a clean and welcoming host area, including stocking menus.
• Keeps track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables and updates the floor plan as needed.
• Reports to work neatly dressed in uniform and maintains personal hygiene.
• Interacts with guests at arrival and departure to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Maintains restrooms during shift (refill towels and soap).
• Organizes merchandise and supports side tasks as directed by management.
• Attends required meetings and adheres to company policies.
