Job summary

Parc at Duluth, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan and prepare nutritious meals in a sanitary, organized dining environment. You will support the Dining Services department and ensure timely service for residents.

Responsibilities include maintaining meal standards, assisting the Culinary Services Director, and handling shifts with a focus on teamwork and communication. Benefits include health and retirement plans, paid training, and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate required per state/local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation for large groups with some supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand recipes and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; clean work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
