Job summary

The Addison of Alpharetta, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals with a focus on safety and quality. You will support the Dining Services department and help maintain high standards in a busy assisted living environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and a state/local Food Service Sanitation Certificate, plus experience with large-volume meal prep.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve meals in a timely, sanitary manner.
• Assist Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized Dining Services department.
• Prepare and serve meals for assigned shifts and ensure quality service.
• Maintain dining room and kitchen cleanliness and proper food handling of leftovers.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
